🇪🇸 Belasteguín announces opening of 20-court Bela Padel Center in Barcelona
Legendary Argentine padel player Fernando Belasteguín has announced that the second Bela Padel Center will open this summer at the Consorci de la Zona Franca skyscraper in Barcelona. Bela Padel Center Barcelona will have 20 courts – 11 outdoor and nine indoor – as well as a gym, sports shop, restaurant and changing rooms.🇪🇸 PSC launches ‘world's first smart padel court’ with array of high-tech features
Padel Smart Courts (PSC) has launched what it claims is the “world's first smart padel court”. Available in five different versions, each is equipped with high-tech features such as recording systems, advanced sensors, LED lighting, integrated smart speakers, and interactive displays. Players can also benefit from a score-tracking system linked to smartwatches.
🇬🇧 Padium to switch booking platform from Playtomic to Padel Mates
UK premium padel club Padium has announced it is switching its booking platform from Playtomic to Padel Mates. The move will come into effect from July 2025. Padium said the decision was driven by “operational efficiency and user experience”. Rocket Padel confirmed earlier this month it is making the same switch across its clubs.🌍️ Head enters strategic partnership with court manufacturer Portico Sport
Head has struck a new strategic partnership with Spanish padel court manufacturer Portico Sport. Under the agreement, Portico Sport will develop and distribute courts with Head branding, and customers will receive a pack of premium Head products. Portico Sport has installed more than 4,000 padel courts in over 35 countries.🇦🇺 Padel Australia joins forces with Empower Padel to boost female participation
Padel Australia has begun a collaboration with Empower Padel, a global community for female padel players. The two parties will organise taster events designed to increase female participation in the sport across the country, beginning in Canberra on 19 July, before moving on to Brisbane and Albury. There will be entry-level coaching, social gameplay, prizes, and networking opportunities.
