🇮🇹 Interest-free loans of up to €250k to be offered in Italy for new padel courts
Interest-free loans of up to €250,000 are to be made available in Italy for the construction of new tennis, padel and pickleball courts following an agreement between the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and Italy’s Institute for Sports and Culture Credit. The initiative is part of a strategic plan designed to boost the growth of racquet sports across the country.🇬🇧 Powerleague to open 11 padel courts across Scotland in £2.2m investment
Powerleague, the largest provider of commercial small-sided football pitches in the UK, is to invest £2.2 million in the opening of 11 padel courts across Scotland. The facilities will be installed at two clubs in Edinburgh and another in Paisley. The Scottish expansion is part of a wider £14 million UK-wide rollout, with Powerleague planning to open 76 courts across its venues by 2026.
🇺🇸 New multisport concept Ballers backed by InvestTrek Capital
US investment firm InvestTrek Capital has announced its investment in Ballers, a new multisport and lifestyle concept which plans to open over 50 venues across the US in the next seven to 10 years. The facilities will include padel, pickleball and squash courts, as well as golf simulators, a turf field, and fitness and yoga studios.🇪🇸 Mahou launches new amateur padel tournament in Spain
Spanish beer brand Mahou has launched the Mahou Challenge, a new amateur padel tournament taking place this summer in eight Spanish cities, including Palencia, Alicante and Madrid. Each event will feature the Five Star After Padel Club with music and beer experiences. Mahou sponsors the Hexagon Cup, as well as a number of other padel tournaments, clubs and professional players.🇺🇸 Padel Haus signs three-year deal to host US Open Padel Championships
US operator Padel Haus has signed a three-year agreement with the United States Padel Association (USPA) to host the US Open Padel Championships. The 2025 tournament, its second edition, will take place on 2-5 October at Padel Haus Atlanta, with a record $35,000 prize fund on offer.
