The Padel Club to open five new UK sites
Major expansion plans have been unveiled by The Padel Club, with five new destinations to open across the country
UK operator The Padel Club has announced the opening of five new facilities across the country as part of bold expansion plans.
The company, which was first set up in 2022, is to open new clubs in Sheffield, Liverpool Riverside, Chester, Brighton, and at the Handforth Dean retail park in Cheshire.
Together, the developments will add more than 30 new padel courts to The Padel Club network – including indoor, canopy and outdoor options – as well as the introduction of pickleball courts and co-working spaces for the first time.
The operator said each new location will also feature clubhouse facilities and “lifestyle amenities tailored to their communities”.
It added that the expansion reflects the success of its Trafford City flagship, which has 11 courts, as well as a clubhouse, retail, and food and drink outlets.

The new sites will feature:
Liverpool Riverside (Brunswick Dock): Eight courts in a riverfront location with balcony views of the Mersey, forming part of the city’s wider regeneration of Liverpool’s waterfront.
Sheffield: Five indoor courts with a 10+ metre roof and potential outdoor expansion, designed to meet the city’s growing appetite for padel within its proud sporting community.
Chester (Sealand Industrial Estate): Seven premium indoor panoramic courts and two seasonal outdoor courts.
Brighton (Q Leisure, Albourne): Six courts (four canopy, two outdoor) and a premium clubhouse, designed to create one of the South Coast’s standout padel venues.
Handforth Dean (Brooke Park): A major new hub in Cheshire featuring five indoor courts, three outdoor courts, and two pickleball courts, alongside co-working spaces and premium facilities.
Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club, said: “We are building more than clubs – we are creating destinations. Each new site has been carefully chosen to combine world-class courts with social spaces that reflect their communities.
“From the waterfront in Liverpool to the lifestyle hub at Handforth Dean, these venues show how padel and pickleball can sit at the heart of Britain’s most vibrant towns and cities.
“Padel has captured the imagination of players of all ages and abilities, and our mission is to make it accessible through premium facilities that people can be proud of. With the addition of pickleball, we are opening the door to even more people discovering the joy of social racquet sports.”
