The second edition of the amateur padel circuit led by the Spanish former tennis player is to feature eight events in Spain and six in Italy.

The Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour has unveiled an expansion across Spain and a launch into Italy for its second edition as it looks to build on its first year, which brought together more than 1,000 players.

The amateur padel circuit has confirmed its schedule for 2025, with an increase in the number of events in Spain to eight, up from six in 2024, and a move into Italy, which will host six events.

In Spain, the tour will begin on 30 April 3 May in Santander, before moving on to Madrid, Barcelona, Estepona, Seville, Valencia and Gijón. The circuit in Italy will start on 2-4 May in Rome, and also visit Torino, Perugia, Bari, Bergamo and Florence.

Both circuits will converge in the final event, which will be held on 4-7 December at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

The new schedule was presented at an event held on 11 April at the Mad4Padel Club in Pozuelo, Madrid.

Maribel Nadal, deputy general manager of the Rafa Nadal Academy said: "We are very satisfied with the results of the first edition. For us, the satisfaction of the players was very important and the feedback we have received has been very positive.

“Now the goal is to continue growing and consolidate ourselves as one of the padel tournaments that no one wants to miss. We are also very excited to arrive in Italy, a country where padel has grown a lot in recent years".

Inspired by the Hexagon Cup, each team participating in the Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour events in both Spain and Italy will be made up of a minimum of six players who will make up three pairs in each tie.

There will be two male categories (Viper - high level and Veron - medium level) and two female categories (Energy - high level and Stima - medium level).

The Rafa Nadal Academy has nine outdoor and seven indoor padel courts and runs padel training programmes for young people and adults.

The academy participated in the second edition of the Hexagon Cup, held on 29 January 2 February 2025, with the Rafa Nadal Academy Team Powered by Richard Mille reaching the final.
