🇺🇸 Washington, DC gets first dedicated padel club as Padel Up opens
Padel Up, the first facility dedicated to padel in the Washington, DC area, has opened in the town of Sterling, around 40 km west of the US capital. The site has four indoor courts and a lounge with a smoothie and coffee bar. Court reservations cost $30 per person per hour.
🇬🇧 Harry Kane’s Reflo launches new clothing collection with The Padel Club
Reflo, the British sustainable performance wear brand backed by English footballer Harry Kane, has launched a new padel clothing collection in partnership with The Padel Club. Each item is made to order and created using recycled materials. The Padel Club has facilities near Manchester and in Gloucester, with plans to open more next year.
🇫🇷 French gym owner to open 12-court padel club in Marguerittes
A new 12-court padel facility is to open in Marguerittes, near Nîmes in southern France next spring. The project is being led by CrossFit Nîmes owner Mikael Bouteillon. The site will have two changing rooms and a catering area, as well as a padel academy for players aged four and up.
🇸🇪 Latest closure in Sweden: Every Padel Kista to shut down at end of year
Every Padel Kista has become the latest padel facility in Sweden to announce it will be closing down. The Stockholm club, which has seven courts, said it will remain open until the end of the year before officially closing on 31 December. Every Padel Kista was taken over by Pro Level Padel in September 2023.
🇩🇰 Danish operator Racket Club switches from Matchi to Padel Mates
Racket Club, one of Denmark’s largest padel operators, has announced it is changing its booking platform from Matchi to Padel Mates. The company, which operates seven venues across Denmark, will make the switch in February 2025. It said the change is being made to ensure members “get the best experience.”
