🇫🇷 Nine padel courts to open at Paris Olympic Aquatics Centre
A new padel facility at the Paris Olympic Aquatics Centre is due to open in June and will feature nine padel courts, including three indoors. The site will be run by French padel operator 4PADEL, and is part of plans to build on Paris’ post-2024 Olympic legacy.🇬🇧 Game4Padel to double UK footprint with 50 new courts in 2025
Game4Padel is planning to double the size of its UK footprint by opening up to 50 new courts this year. The UK’s largest padel club operator is to begin work on the first padel site in Hull and East Yorkshire this month, with two covered courts at Cottingham Lawn Tennis Club, while work is already underway on two covered courts at Draycott Racquet & Fitness Club near Stoke-on-Trent.
🇺🇸 Agassi launches new venture to boost growth of padel and pickleball
Tennis legend Andre Agassi has launched a new company designed to boost the expansion of padel and pickleball worldwide. Global Acquisitions Corporation has been rebranded to Agassi Sports Entertainment (ASE), which aims to bring the sports to new markets, offer opportunities for youth to play, and increase professional competition.🇳🇴 Stord Padel strikes sponsorship deal with Danish airline DAT
Norwegian club Stord Padel has struck a two-year sponsorship agreement with Danish airline DAT, covering 2025 and 2026. DAT’s logo will be displayed on the front of the club’s new jerseys, and its annual tournament will be named the DAT Open.🇬🇧 Slazenger Padel Clubs to open nine-court site in Blackburn
Slazenger Padel Clubs is to open a new padel club in Blackburn, East Lancashire with nine indoor padel courts and two pickleball courts. The site will also feature a fitness and warm-up area, changing rooms, a bar and pro shop. It will be Slazenger’s second padel centre after opening its first in Leeds, West Yorkshire, which has 12 indoor courts.
