India's first professional padel league to be launched by PadelPark
The new league follows the rapid expansion of the Indian Padel Tour and increasing participation rates across the country.
PadelPark, India’s largest padel company, has announced the launch of the country's first professional padel league in a move designed to give the sport an established structure and move it closer to mainstream recognition.
The league will be launched in collaboration with the sports management firm JSW Sports, and is backed by its founder Parth Jindal, who has acquired a 20 per cent stake in PadelPark. Both companies are based in Mumbai.
The plans for the new professional league follow the rapid expansion of the Indian Padel Tour, the country’s official professional and amateur padel tour, which is organised by PadelPark and has grown from 25 teams in the first season in 2024 to 120 teams at present.
PadelPark claims that participation rates for padel in India are currently rising by 200% annually.

Initially founded in 2019, PadelPark officially launched operations in late 2023. In just over a year, it has installed over 100 padel courts across India, making it the country's largest infrastructure provider. It has 17 operational courts in Mumbai and 20 more under development in Delhi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi and Bengaluru. According to the company, it accounts for 70% of India’s padel infrastructure.
PadelPark has also set up the Indian Padel Academy, with a structured coaching programme led by veteran Spanish coach Victor Perez currently run across four centres in Mumbai, training over 200 players, including both adults and children, as well as providing training and certification for padel coaches.
PadelPark co-founder Nikhil Sachdev said: "Padel Park was founded with the mission of making padel accessible and popular across India. We have made significant strides in building the sport's infrastructure and fostering a passionate community of players.
“With our upcoming professional league, we are taking the next big step towards cementing padel's place in India's sports culture.”
